So surprisingly (or unsurprisingly, I guess), Google lets its employees -- even interns -- come and go as they please from the office. This was extremely convenient for me today as I was trying to download the necessary files to upgrade my phone to Lollipop since it's been stuck on Jelly Bean since I first got it. The wi-fi in my apartment is comparable to that of my wi-fi back home (although nothing beats home in terms of slowness) so I vowed last night to go to Google the next day to sort things out.

Finally it's actually Friday. As such, we had a real TGIF meeting/video conference at the end of the day. This was for only my larger team which is responsible for social infrastructure engineering and spans multiple offices. Rather than discussing work though, it was mainly just a social hour (okay, more like 30 minutes, but still...).

Today was a little different than usual. Besides the orientation classes and studying before starting our projects next week, we had 2 major events.

So has passed another day as a Noogler. Today's great adventure was to the 10th floor for our orientation classes. So far we've been on the 4th floor but today for some reason was different.

Today was yet another long day of orientation, courses, and meetings. As I arrived at 9 AM, running on a whopping 3 hours of sleep from stress, over half of the interns were missing from the room. We had been told by our calendars to go to floor 10 and by the presentation from the previous day to go to floor 4. I almost went to 10 myself but for some reason the button in the elevator wouldn't work when I pressed 10 so I went to 4 instead. At least the elevator knew where I was supposed to be going.
